Marriage

(Gunnar and Grethe)

Gunnar asked Grethe to marry him when she returned from Arendal. His wedding day was one of the happiest of his life. They were married on the fourth of July. Her brothers ordered a wedding carriage for the whole wedding party and it took them to the church at 2 o’clock for the wedding. His friends from the army gave speeches and congratulations late into the night.
